Love this place. Food is absolutely amazing every time. Free car park and very good value for money on everything. Usually a very quick service from time you order so never left waiting for too long. Friendly staff and characteristic building with classic country local pub style. 100% recommend.

Been past many times but never stopped. Character Suffolk pub. Very welcoming. We had the Special lunch. Omlette and fish and chips. Both were excellent. The fish I'm sure was too big for the lunchtime special. Beer was very good too. Covid rules strictly enforced and hygiene was very good. Will call in again.

Just had a lovely dinner here. Found on Google near the cottage we’re staying at on our holidays. Great, friendly staff, lovely food. Can’t fault it. Just gutted we didn’t have any cash to leave a tip as they definitely deserve it. 100% recommend.

Can't believe I'm writing this because we have eaten here many times and the food is usually really lovely, but this is the 1st time for a Sunday roast this was the worst roast we have ever had the meat was chewy the veg was hard needed to be cooked more and I mean hard not just hard in nice just cooked easy, but uncooked hard, the roast potatoes had been cooked and recooked deep fried to hear them up.
We told the young lady who cleared our plates and she just smiled then told an older lady maybe the manager and at 1 st she laughed then just said oh sorry about that but that was it. No one came over once our dinners were served to ask if everything was ok.
Real shame because it has put us off using the place. Never had a problem before but this really was unacceptable and nothing was done about it, even though my plate went back to the kitchen near as full as it had come out of the kitchen.
Maybe understand if they had been busy but they were quite empty.

We went there with our dog's one who was a little lively, this wasn't a problem for the landlord and he did everything he could to accommodate us. We had a very nice meal which was great value and a very nice pint of beer. I only wish we were closer as pubs like this are few and far between, although I am sure we will be back . I've already recommend it to family who live closer. It's an honest pub for real people and is very dog friendly!

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here today with my elderly parents. Staff welcoming and very accomodating. Great fish and chips and steak and ale pie with lovely fresh vegetables. Well worth a visit!

A friendly welcome. Good choice of beers and lovely food at reasonable prices. Not surprisingly can be very busy so always best to book.

Had a lovely evening meal here. The steak was one of the best I've ever had. And they have nice puddings too. The pub is dog friendly. The staff were friendly polite and helpful. All clean and tidy. Would definitely go back.
