What a find this place is. Out in the sticks but that just adds to the peace and quiet. The room was excellent as was the food and drink. Bit limited if you are a veggy but otherwise really good. All is freshly prepared and delicious. Breakfast was a hit too. Friendly and efficient staff. Locals are a friendly bunch too. Will definitely be going back next time we are in the area.

Great place to stay. Off the beaten track a bit - a piece of rural Somerset life. Quiet room once generators shut down for the night. Bijou room, comfy bed. Room doors a bit noisy - people can be so inconsiderate! Breakfast & meals good. Local produce. Very pleasant, obliging staff - nothing too much trouble. Have stayed here many rimes & always a pleasure.

What a lovely pub and accommodation. So homely and welcoming. The host, Eric, family and staff could not have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely food, especially enjoyed the generous carvery and breakfast. Really comfortable rooms as well.

We visited yesterday for a family carvery to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. Lovely staff welcomed us and the food was delicious. Would recommend.

Very disappointed with the food, I ordered a 'home made' lamb and mint pie with mashed potato and local vegetables, unfortunately the pastry of the pie was very hard and could not be cut, it just broke up. The mash was watery, only good things about the meal was the veg was very good and the meat in the pie was very tasty. Shame about the pastry. My wife had fish pie that was tasty but lacking in fish. We didn't complain and finished all of the meals.

Stayed nearby for family 80th birthday weekend. Recommended to come to Rest & Be Thankful for their carvery. 15 adults booked, one long table for us and the carvery was fabulous. Staff were great, we had a lovely meal. 1pm booking meant the car-park was full but road parking was ok. Would definately recommend.

Popped in for morning coffee on our outward journey and liked it, so we popped in for a light lunch on our return. Straightforward pub food done very well at a very reasonable price. Very handy if crossing Exmoor.
Have stayed here many rimes & always a pleasure.
