The Carpenters Arms

Went for a lovely lunch with the family and have to say it's a lovely pub with friendly staff and the food was superb.

Great variety of food, catering for vegan, vegetarian and gluten free.

Lovely choice of puddings too with a great selection of ice-creams.

Would highly recommend The Carpenters Arms, welcoming atmosphere and a lovely pub 👍

First time visiting here. Service was quick staff were friendly. Went on a Sunday so had the Carvery. Portions were ample and allowed to have a variety of meats. Food was delicious and loved the home made gravy from stock. I'd advise to book ahead as it can get very busy.

The Carpenters hosted our wedding meal in the conservatory. Nothing was too much trouble,from the food to ensuring the set up looked perfect! Prawn cocktail or Pate starter.Roast beef or Turkey for the mains ,with roasted parsnips & carrots, mashed swede,cauliflower cheese,tenderstem brocoli, roasted potatoes and huge Yorkshire puddings....the food was presented beautifully ,tasted amazing and so much of it! All the staff were so attentive, happy and polite. We couldn't have wished for a better day!!

It's cheap, but it shows in the quality of the Indian buffet. No mango chutney either. The tables are far too close together, making it difficult for a group of four to fit comfortably. Also, the exit through the beer garden was very dark. And what's with the androgynous toilet signs? 😂

Very nice Ukrainian lady behind the bar.But unfortunately they let the local workers from Blackmore haulage who take over the bar loud swearing noise. Very off putting and nobody likes that they stare when you walk into what you think is a restaurant/bar.they are obviously your bread and butter but put them in the side area to the right so there not so in your face

Very impressed with the standard of food. I ordered the belly pork on the specials menu and it was packed with flavour and cooked perfectly.

Really lovely staff. Food very hot & tasty. But waited an hour for food :(. Groupon very good but only choice of red wine and voucher says any large wine. Nice meal but won't return. :(

Call in for a Sunday Carvery and Yes the meal was nice, but I like my veg cooked a bit more.
