The Larch Farm

I've been a few time with the family and we haven't had one bad meal.
Its advisable to book before you go but having said that we have been un announced before and got a table.
The staff are very friendly and the food and beer selection good is varied.
They have 2 special boards one that has everyday food on the the other is fish dishes that ranges from swordfish steak to a fish platter.
They also have an outside courtyard thats lovely to sit in on hots summers day. 5⭐️👍🏻

(The Cumberland fiesta in the picture comes with garden peas but I exchanged them for beans)

Called in again on Sunday and had the roast beef dinner. Empty plate again and still 5⭐️'s

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Larch Farm. Our first time so played it simple and had the gammon. It was beautiful, succulent and lean. The accompaniments were great and we had pineapple and egg as standard. Prices are very good. The place is dog friendly with an area for us dog lovers. We will be going back and we will be more adventurous with the extensive menu. The published menu is only half of it. Thanks to the very friendly staff

It's OK but there's something about the place that always makes me feel it's not clean enough! A very varied menu, but maybe warm plates would help keep the food warm. Our table, 18, was in a very cramped space. The server was friendly but the person taking our order needed a few lessons in smiling and being friendly. I'll not be back in a hurry

Had an evening meal here, which was delicious. 😋 I had muscles mariniére and a pint of prawns. Husband had "Proper Fish and Chips". Neither of us had room for anything else 😁.......
But we did return the next day for breakfast as our accommodation didn't do food.

No front of house staff to show you to the table and you have to order food at the bar so that involves a lot of waiting around. Fancy pudding? You have to go back to the bar and order it. Very poor system and food average. Noisy too.

Had our silver wedding Anniversary meal here today with family and friends.
All I can say is the food was lovely, the staff and service was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the manager and her team made our day so special. Would highly recommend Larch Farm. Thank you for giving us and our family and friends a special day full of happy memories.

Always a solid meal to be had here. Staff are friendly and the food usually comes out fast. Reasonably priced too.
