Lovely country style pub with very low beams, mind your head 6 footers. The food is excellent and nicely priced with lots of extras. All different types of beers on tap. Staff are friendly and try to cater for all your needs. Well worth a visit and I will be coming back as this was my first visit. I must add there is outside seating for those summer days and a childrens play area

Lovely staff but appalling food. This was an amazing foodie pub at one time , went to new ownership went downs hill fast. We tried again recently and found it again had new ownership and we tried the food, it was ok pub grub .
Went again and we had two cold frozen lasagna with water swimming in the middle . A cold burger with undercooked chips . Quite possibly one of the worst pub meals I have ever had , inedible and quite possible dangerous . I won’t be going back and it’s such a shame as the staff are lovely and it’s such a beautiful pub . If you want cheap pub grub better than than this it’s Witherspoon ( I’m embarrassed by that recommendation) .

Went with my family for a special birthday. This review is not the waitress fault. We were told the new chef had just started and he needed to get to know the kitchen! OK so we stayed, waited an hour and a half for our lunch, the starter never came , the salmon was dry, the vegetables no taste, uncooked potatoes, cold food and cold plates, my Mums dinner horrible, dry, really sad I loved this
pub, will not being going again, I do not recommend

My daughter and I, came for a Sunday lunch yesterday. The meal was very good. The service was poor. We had to go to the bar, to get the staffs attention, to order our meal. The same with desserts. Nobody came to the table, to see if we needed anything.
We felt the staff, we're more interested in the football on the TV. Which was a A very disappointing meal out.
