Right next to a national trust so was expecting it to be a bit, twee.

It was not.

the food and service was amazing. they cook all the food fresh so does take a little longer but I didn't mind that.

The food was lovely, we had the scampi, hotpot and the pie of the day.

Each were equally as good and well presented, portions were a good size.

My daughter is 10 and managed to eat a an adults scampi and chips. It was a over average portion , don't think I could have eaten it.

Can't recommend best pub meal we have had in a very long time.

Staff were very friendly, service wads good and dog friendly.

Birthday celebration Sunday dinner busy lunch service but worth the wait. Beef was amazing plenty on the plate even our dog had some.
Visited again later in the week tried the small Fish and chips and Gammon both cooked beautifully. No complaints here !

Had the cheese and potato pie which was delicious and very filling. My partner really enjoyed his hotpot too. Sorbet was a cleansing finish to a great meal! Dog friendly, we sat upstairs with our 3 as it was quieter. Great place!

Family friendly country pub with well poured pints and a varied menu. It’s like Weatherspoons but with a dash of Emmerdale authenticity. I had the Asian salad (really good) and the asparagus risotto (good). Dogs welcome.

This is only our second time to The Strickland Arms and we weren't disappointed!
Despite having a large party and the bar full to capacity, our waitress managed to find us a table upstairs. We were even offered a table downstairs when one came available.
Delicious food and excellent service. We'll be back 😍 Thanks so much!

A great local spot. The food is really tasty and service very chilled but attentive. We had booked for an early evening dinner, asking them to keep roasts aside. Was really happy about that.

Nice country pub with large beer garden to side. I order the Lancashire Lamb hotpot which was very tasty served with red cabbage and a bread roll which was very small. On comparison with elsewhere the portion size was small, some fresh veg served with it would of been nice.
Good choice of real ale served and close to motorway.

Stopped here for Sunday lunch on our way back from the lakes. The service was superb plenty of staff on to deal with everyone. I had the lamb Sunday roast which was amazing lots of lamb, all elements cooked perfect. My partner she had the hake Kiev which was beautiful and really well presented. A perfect end to a lovely vacation.
