We visited The Cawdor tavern today. Seating indoors & outdoors available depending the weather.
We had a lovely bowl of lentil soup with buttered bread followed by a ciabatta with battered chicken strips & lettuce with a helping of coleslaw on the side., it was lovely, I wish I had taken a picture of the food. Prompt service & the waiting staff seemed very nice. Would definitely go back.

We stayed near by and went to have dinner at Cawdor Tavern. Place was quiet and we could pick the best seat near the fireplace. Very cosy. And great food choice. I went for that days special pork loin with seasonal vegetables, with boiled and fried potatoes. I bit regret that didn't go for duck as not many places do have duck on the menu. Partner had stuffed chicken with dauphinoise potatoes and they were absolutely delicious. We do recommend this place and would go there again if we are in area.

Cozy wee pub restaurant, our first meal dinning out noth of Scotland. Kids loved it although we never seen the peacock lol! Space in the car park for our motorhome, the only downside was the menu was a little pricey but it seems the price has gone up everywhere these days!

Best food I've eaten in the last 8 years in the UK. The saffron sea bass was absolutely amazing as was the lentil soup, the mushroom tart and the salad with the steak. 100% recommended. The pub itself is lovely and well priced.

Birthday dinner for my brother. Four at table.. I had lovely liver patte to start with hake and vegetable for main course. Had tea with mince pie to complete my meal. Others had soup and patte also and two had venison casserole and other had haddock with chips and vegetables. My hake was perfect. Well worthy of a visit..
