Thoroughly enjoyed the meal, best stilton sauce ever.
Chips and onion rings homemade, excellent.
We will be returning.
Compliments to the chef!

Excellent food everytime we've been here!! Very varied menu : afternoon tea, sandwiches, panini's etc at lunchtime with a varied selection of home made cakes and desserts made my Ali who is an excellent cook.. Delicious food on an evening and Sunday lunch but check this out: Friday night is Steak night... absolute great price of £29.95 for 2 people which also includes a bottle of house wine!!! Amazing deal for two people to start the weekend off very nicely!! Never had a bad meal here, always extremely good portion sizes served, food is of excellent quality and always made to order. Staff really welcoming and friendly and really very pleasant and always making sure that everything is to your liking. I would definitely recommend The Buck for a meal at any time of day, but please..... don't just take my word for it, go along and try for yourself and support a Very nice friendly public house/restaurant & Tearooms!!! Fabulous place!!

First time iv visted hear. Booked to have Sunday lunch, the food was good, plenty on the plate and freindly staff. Some desserts where not available as they had been busy with Christmas party's. Plenty of space in the rooms, it was a bit quite there as I think there is strong completion with three pubs in the village. Have recommend to others and might visit again if in the area.

Beautiful sunday lunch..only one problem the card machine was not working and we werem't told until the bill came which was a bit surprising! Not good especially if you have no cash on you would have been good to be told when we arrived.

Food is amazing but is just basket meals. Only down side is come 8 or 9 ish place feels like a bit of a youth club. Probably only about 3 loud people ruining the place really, barmaids tried to quiet them and asked them a few times to stop swearing loudly but didn't stand much of a chance. Could be OK if not Friday or Saturday night.

Great little country pub with friendly staff and a wide range of draft and bottled drinks. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Booked for 3 nights, received a confirmation and everything just to find out when we were standing at the entrance that it was closed. No information whatsoever anywhere about it being closed. So had to look for another accommodation last minute which was almost impossible and took us 5 hours (!!!) as it was already 9pm and we had been driving for 6.5 hours. PS: If we would've known how run down and filthy that place looks we wouldn't have bothered booking it in the first place, so pictures of the place are nothing like real life
