Family of four, camping for the week and needed some home cooked food.
Negative first, a rather small menu compared to what it showed on the internet.
However, and this is a big However, food was absolutely fantastic, kids loved the burger and the fish and chips was the best fish and chips I've had in a very long time! Not greasy and very fresh.
Staff were lovely and welcoming, and the chef made outstanding food.
A very lovely pub.

Good food, good beer, decent room at reasonable rates, big beer garden, and terrific atmosphere. What more can you ask for? Oh yeah, the people! Best time on Glyndwr's Way (off trail) was spent here.

Great pub, awesome staff and a welcoming atmosphere, if you’re in town this is a top spot to spend an evening.

Came for food tonight. Waiting an hour between each course. Had a young child with us. The food was the average pub grub. Was told the kitchen was busy but yet only saw 2 other tables eating food. Very disappointed

Couldn't help

Great beer and a quaint, small garden at the back next to a small carpark. Disappointed that we didn't get to eat there and wish when they told us they didn't do food on a Monday, they had said and not on a Tuesday either. Could have saved us a trip. Lovely friendly staff.

Very friendly pub bristling with locals, always a good sign.
Burger night so menu limited but was presented well and tasted great.

Great beer garden for the warmer months. Just been to a wake there on Wednesday for one of our closest friends. The food provided was quality. Ambiance was perfect for the occasion. What a great way to say goodbye to a near and dear friend. Lots of tears shed but the staff were perfect. Thanks and well done.

It’s a shame to see the Union rag and the Queen’s face plastered across the building after her jubilee finished months ago (plus why would Cymru want anything to do with the family that colonised it?). In addition my partner communicated that the owner made comments to her that came across a bit leery.
