I ordered a char-grilled pulled pork burger this is what i got it looked like and tasted like a pre-cooked and pre-packed burger that you microwave the burger was hard on the outside rims and it was cold and dry if you look carefully at the picture it also has all the little hole that one of those £1 burgers in a pack has on them they sell these burgers between £6 the £7.50 on the menu I will not be going back there it was disgusting just to know that a restaurant could do this

So often you see reviews on Facebook and other Social Media platforms slating establishments for their services or their prices, but seldom to you see great reports highlighting the positives.

My wife and I visited both the Old White Hart and the Tudor Tavern several times over the past week (we were down for her birthday). In every visit, we received a great welcome from friendly staff. One day we even turned up at 2:35pm for lunch and they had stopped serving food (this was quite clear on all their signs) – however, the barman, “Tom”, said – "Hang on – I’ll check if we can squeeze you in" – 20 minutes later, the team having re-opened the kitchen just for us, we were served with what we wanted (and needed).

We cannot express how wonderful the team is, but more importantly, how wonderful Tom has been throughout our visit. He always found time to have a quick chat with us and check up on us several times; he was amazingly courteous, accommodating and funny. I’m not sure if you they have any staff awards or appraisals, but can I say that he is was amazing though-out our visits and deserves credit for his professionalism.

So thanks to the team for making our visit one we will remember, and we will be back as soon as we can, to enjoy the great hospitality.

What a great traditional pub. Great food and beers. And friendly helpful staff. Definitely a place to go if you already haven't been. Cheers guys

Unfortunately the pub seemed understaffed when we visited - bartender was also chef but was friendly and helpful. The food, which was two panini and a baguette, was overall terrible. Chicken and bacon were dry, the ham was processed sandwich ham. The chips were good and the salad fresh (but with no dressing).

I thoroughly enjoyed a hot, tasty lasagne at the Tudor Tavern yesterday. Made with Welsh black beef and loads of cheese, cooked to perfection. Served with garlic bread and nice fresh salad. Nicely presented too. The barman was friendly and so were the locals. Plus the loos were spotless. I'm looking forward to coming back next time I'm in the area.

Haven't been for many years and pleasantly surprised. Had a couple of drinks, dog friendly and the prices were very reasonable compared to the other pubs in the town. Much cheaper!
