Lovely food, service very friendly, a really nice welcome. Would definitely recommend it to people I know. Thank you all for going out of your way to make our visit a very pleasant 4 hours. It was a special day today celebrating the life of our dear departed sister ❤ we do it every year. Thank you for your hospitality.

This was one of the best pubs around when Val owned it. I’m only reviewing as there was nobody to talk to About it whilst we were there, just very young girls working (who were lovely enough). We ordered the “whole tandoori chicken” which was, in fact, 1 frozen chicken breast, not cooked in the middle with tandoori paste put on after cooking. It was not edible unfortunately. My wife ordered the pad Thai salad with noodles that did not come with any noodles, just a few beansprouts. I don’t believe that the person cooking is a qualified chef to serve that. If he is, his love for the job has gone, or maybe having a bad day???? It’s a pity as a great location with a play area for the kids. Also, all the draught was not working so drinks were all in cans. This would never have happened when Val was in charge. She kept a tight ship.

I've been coming here for a long time, and I can't fault it one bit.

The service is great and the Sunday lunches and food is brilliant I've never had an issue. Really enjoy the food and the draught lagers!

I've brought friends here with me and they've loved it too.

Although there was an issue the other week with the draughts the staff were adaptable and there was plenty of bottled alternatives which were discounted to make up for it, very good.

I will continue coming here and talking to the friendly staff and enjoying the pub!

Great breakfast, either set meal or build your own from large selection. Good quality food cooked freshly & piping hot and reasonably priced. Friendly & efficient staff & a choice to eat inside or in the garden which has shelter if required.

Went with my family this evening & it was excellent! Staff very attentive, probably the most efficient & friendly I've seen. Food was excellent very good portions & the first time I've had curry sauce in a little pan with my cod & chips, it was so big I couldn't eat it all! Thank you for an excellent meal & great service!

Portions were huge and food tasty...partner had the mixed grill and it was like man v food...he couldn't finish it, which is very rare! Definitely intend returning to try the Sunday lunch

Never had a bad experience here. The Sunday roast is beautiful fair play. Always a great selection of desserts to choose from which is always a plus in my eyes. I believe that they've had new owners since we came here last, but the food on Sunday was exquisite to say the least. I'll definitely be returning here again in the future without a shadow of a doubt. Highly recommended.

Had the Christmas menu tonight for 7 of us. Food was fantastic no complaints from anyone. The portions were so big, containers were provided for leftovers. The staff were so friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.
