Rock & Fountain Inn

Calling in for lunch and a drink on the way to Swansea for the first time. Parked in the car park and was impressed by the look of the place but unfortunately the same can't be said about the food. The tomato & basil soup was watery and tasteless and the hotpot was not much more than a bowl of gravy topped with anaemic looking potato slices. Maybe we visited on an off day but we won't be visiting again to find out.

Best place for kids! Shame it was cash only, didn't have food but from the menu and what other had it looked lovely. Play area is amazing and suitable for all ages. I had a 1 year old and 8 year old and both had lots to do and enjoy! Would definitely recommend to families or for couples. Very welcoming place!

We came here for a family birthday celebration and our experience was nice enough. They allowed banners and balloons to be placed on and around the table and we were seated in a pleasant dining room. I didn't catch the name of our waitress but she was new and her service was outstanding; polite, attentive, friendly, efficient and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. She was brilliant! Some of our criticisms were that a lot of the main menu items were unavailable and the food was average. Unfortunately our Sundaes were preordered in plastic pots which are then slipped into the pub's own Sundae glasses. The toilets lacked proper and hygienic baby changing facilities. Plenty of parking across the road and a children's play area which is generous, along with outdoor seating for warmer days. All in all an okay pub meal experience.

If anybody likes the rock and fountain in Aberdulais, before today I did too!
My lamb shank arrived 10 minutes after my family's. That was a bit whatever. Sliced into it and it was a still frozen! I waited around 10 minutes by the bar for the waiter. Finally found him, Told him Okay he will take it back and It'll be sorted. Comes back and says I can't have mash cause there's none left and they're making a new one. My family had almost finished at this point. I said OK chips. But I'll have a cheese and brocoli bake since its quicker to cook. OK no problem. 20 minutes goes by, no food. I ask him to put it to go, cause what's the point at this point my family finished ages ago. OK no worries. 10 minutes later I get them in Chinese containers. We stood at the bar for 10 minutes waiting for the bar staff to take our money. I ask if I can have atleast 50% off since I couldn't even eat with my family. The chef says sorry only a pound off. I left the food there and didn't pay. What absolute awful service and food. Thought it was fantastic before. Not anymore 👋🤣

38 mins for the food to arrive. Food was hard or cold. Entire place was colder inside than out and the waiter was red faced with spots all over his face (possibly chicken pox), wearing Gregg merchandise hoodie.

The food was ok.. ish. Not poor quality, just not everything was as I would have liked it. The staff were amazing and did everything to make us comfortable. Watch out for the mixed grill...it's huge..be hungry, very hungry. I will go back.
