Very busy and only two bar staff working very hard.
The tables were in need of cleaning but didn't seem to be enough staff.
The food was okay. Smothered chicken could have done with a little more salad, but quite tasty.
The cheeseburger was okay

Excellent place for food and drink, we had a family meal here and it was amazing. You order at the bar and then we drop it down to your table one of the nicest places to eat in beautiful surroundings. They also are dog friendly we didn't have one with us but my son loved looking at everyone else's dog. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit and will be back the next time we are on holiday there!!! If you want lovely food in very clean and beautiful surroundings this is the place and good value for money we'll don't to the management chef and the team!!!!

Stayed for a couple of nights to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Nice decor. The staff were very pleasant and worked hard to accommodate us. There was a quiz in the bar one evening and this was great fun. Decent bar food and real ale in the bar! Good value for money and will definitely go again.

We were looking for a roast before we headed home. Staff were welcoming, accomodating and the roast dinner is what a roast dinner should be. Proper home made with lots of meat and veg. Delicious! Best Sunday roast we've had in a long time. 5 stars!!

Back to being a good pub (after the last managers killed it). Good food, reasonable selection of lagers and 3 beers on a good day. Punch have spent a lot of money restoring the bar area and I think the rooms. Friendly staff. Definitely worth checking out if you have read some of the terrible reviews from 2020-21.
Have heard various reports of very loud music on some nights and food running short but isn't everywhere at the moment 🤷🏼‍♂️
