I stopped off here for a bite to eat and a beverage. We had been recommended by a friend. The staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive to our needs. We sat in the pub side area rather than the restaurant as it was a last minute dicision and we were dressed down. It was a lovely atmosphere, a great drinks selection, also a great meal choice. The seating area outside was cosy and fitted with heaters. We went for a three course meal option but there was also specials board to choose from. Would highly recommend this venue for a meal with your partner or a group of friends. Also great if you have a doggy companion. I noticed dog burger treats on the bar (which was a lovely touch) and plenty of dog water bowls outside!

Stumbled across this place by mistake and what a lucky find that was. The food was the best I have had for a long time. Large portions and everything was freshly cooked. I can’t fault it at all.
I will definitely be back for more. To the staff and management. Keep up the great work at the Royal Oak.
10 out of 10.

Lovely setting but pub was only offering very basic lunch options.......sandwiches with either bacon or sausage (or both!). Not even were a cheese and pickle option available.

Had to send both my main and desert back. Was no crackling with the pork, even when they returned it to me. Ordered an Eton mess and it came without mirange. When it was returned to me they had just stuck a mirange nest on top of the cream (not an Eton mess). No evidence of customer service in my bill either. Will not be returning

Me my partner and son went ther Saturday for lunch and it was lovely .they both enjoyed there meals,my curry was tasty and plenty of it.my only criticism small as it is but the chicken in the tikka masala seemed like frozen chicken chunks a bit tough as fresh chicken wouldn't be ..but overall a lovely lunch out

One of my favourite places around. Staff always nice and try to accommodate your requirements. Fireplace usually on in winter times. I've never tasted a bad dish and the service is quick

Absolutely hands down this one of the best pub restaurants I have been too, trust me when I say I have been to many.
I'm just so gutted I was only passing, because I'd love to come back here.
I literally couldn't find fault with my beef roast dinner. 10/10 which I can't ever say I've given.
The beef was perfectly cooked and soft to eat zero fat or gristle, a propa decent cut of meat.
The potatoes were perfect.
Honestly a perfect roast dinner...
The others in the party also raves about their food choices.

The ambiance was nice with 70's softly playing as we sat outside in the heated pod, the inside was a really nice setting.
The whole pub was immaculately clean.
Staff were so friendly and polite.

Massive car park.

Once again I could not find a fault at this pub I'm gutted it's not my regular.

If you are driving around this area or passing here you must stop to eat, you will not be disappointed.
