This is a lovely local pub. A good selection of beer, larger, cider and ales. A great selection of spirits too. The staff are friendly and helpful. Groups can book a table or even a function room if wanted.
I love visiting the Hen and Chicks with my friends.

Great food. Able to get food and take drink upstairs to watch rugby on the big screen. Great for a quiet little drink or food downstairs as well.

Popped in last week on a birthday trip to Aber. It's a great locals pub. Everyone was friendly enough, and although there were only a few real ales on, the beer was in great condition and a cheap pint too! Will definitely visit again if in the area ☺️

Visited as I wanted to watch the rugby, only televised on Amazon Prime, and was very please to be able to eat, have refreshments and enjoy the game in their upstairs function room. Fabulous atmosphere and one of the few establishment television the rugby this year.

Simple but great!

Straightforward old pub with simple but effective decor and several small rooms/nooks to find a place to drink and chat. Tables and chairs in the street during the warmer months. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. An Abergavenny institution!
