White Horse

Christmas meal. Was lovely. But lacking some of the stable components that make a roast dinner. We had meat and 3 roasts on our plate, and a Yorkshire pudding if you had beef... and stuffing if you had turkey... we was brought out a sharing platter of sprouts, broccoli and carrots.
I feel as it was a brains pub and people tend to expect wholesome foods at these kind of pubs. That they was missing the market here.
Food that was missing, but if was offered to us, would have raised the ratings on this review : like peas, mash potatoes, Yorkshire puddings for the turkey eaters and roasted parsnips would have been nice too. 😁 But overall what food we did have was cooked and seasoned well. Tasted good. The puddings and starters was lovely too. Out of 16 of us, no one had a bad word to say about the food, and all said they enjoyed. Thanks. Not sure would go again for Christmas meal. But have been many a time for an everyday menu meal and that is lovely and as expected. 😁

We we went when it was quiet. Enjoyed our food, only quibble is the veg is slighly over cooked and not very warm, but we did enjoy what we had to eat was lovely, but other wise very friendly staff and very clean pub..

We recently had my mums birthday meal with all the family and the service was lovely! Friendly, welcoming, food was lovely and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Great service :)

Great friendly pub, just popped in as we were passing as it looked very popular, had an amazing Thai red chicken curry, made to feel very welcome. Would definitely go again.

Nice reverb on the pub and quite warm inside however 5 staff were all standing behind the bar and only one serving .. the rest were chatting and one young lady was eating a pot of jelly behind the bar !!!! Come on guys that can’t be right !!!.. where is the hygiene in that ??? Young man didn’t have a clue how to pull beer .. more training required I would say . Food was much improved so good on that front .
Better clothing required for the staff ..

Friendly staff, good service, food was lovely , I didn't want bbq sauce on hunters chicken and they did it so shows food cooked to order not prepacked like many places, good to see

Visited for a family wake! Buffet was brilliant and well presented.
Bar persons were very helpful and knowledgeable on their products!
