Called in after a walk along the canal. Beautiful display of flowers outside with the hanging baskets.Even more in the large pub garden. Staff were excellent friendly + helpful. We ordered a veggie burger with chips served with a small salad. The burger was gorgeous. Will definitely return next time we visit Crickhowell

Lovely pub. Reasonably priced, good outdoor seating. The staff are very helpful; kitchen staff did a smaller food portion for my daughter, and the bar staff gave us a cloth and ice when they heard me say she'd hurt her knee on our walks around the village.

Went in for few beers while on holiday, a smashing friendly, welcoming pub. Staff were efficient and a good laugh and the landlord showed us the huge cocktail bar and extensive sub tropical beer gardens at the rear that we had no idea were there. The pizzas were amazing too! I would 100% recommend this place, don't waste your time in The Bear it is a restaurant not a pub, if you're not eating they don't want to know.

After a very long walk via the river and return by the canal we were starving. I was anticipating the normal pub fare, but what a surprise. We all had different meals, and I had a pizza, wow! I can honestly say it was the best I'd ever tasted. Friendly staff, great beer and dog friendly as well.

A lovely pub. The pizzas are absolutely delicious and the platters huge and a lovely range. All very reasonably priced too. Staff lovely.
However don’t rely on food - the kitchen is tiny and understandably popular - they can get overwhelmed.
Enjoy when available or just have a nice drink and some homemade cake (always available) 😊

We were in the area having a well deserved break and popped in by chance. What a lovely pub, very welcoming and good beer served. Looked to nice to except the dogs but ours were more than welcome. The music being played was very easy listen, highly recommend a visit....
