Just want to say thank you for making me and my partner feel so welcome for her birthday meal. The food was top class 👌and the girls behind the bar were unreal 😁if we ever in the area again we'll definitely be coming back.......... 10/10 thanks again

The location of the restaurant was very handy for us considering we were staying at the hotel just up the road, so decided to go there for an evening meal.

At the time of our arrival their restaurant was already shut and we were offered to have food at the bar.

We chose the table which was standing where they previously had the fire place. My son absolutely loved it! You could see the reflection of yourself in the mirror ceiling.

The meal ended up being very good. It was freshly cooked, a good amount, reasonably priced and we haven't waited long for it either.

The lady, who was serving us was very polite and helpful.

We have really enjoyed our visit there and definitely recommend it!

Good clean room. Not big but good value for money in my opinion. The staff were pleasant and descent breakfast. Parking is a problem but was able to drop off cases into the room and then move it to park it for free for the evening.

Fantastic food, pub menu but executed wonderfully. I had beautifully cooked and seasoned fish. The service was impeccable, we were in a rush over lunch and were seen to instantly.

We stayed here when house hunting and ate in the restaurant. The room well exceeded my expectations, the staff are welcoming and helpful . The food was superb!
Top marks all round.
We will definitely be coming back !

Fantastic find thanks to Google Reviews!! Booted up to see what was in the area and this popped up as highly recommended and I completely agree!! Food was amazing, so were the staff!! My husband didnt even have any complaints which is unheard of!!

An Absolutely wonderful restaurant. We are currently staying 25 minutes away, after being turned away at a different pub after booking online, we decided to come to the horse and jockey inn, and I’m so glad we did, a lovely menu with plenty of vegetarian options, and a lovely steak for my other half. They let us book within less than an hours notice, the lady on the front of house (long dark hair) was so polite and so lovely even though she looked to be the only member of staff in front of house. Food was quick to come out and absolutely gorgeous, plenty of it. We were both stuffed. Thank you so much.

We had a delightful experience eating here on New year's Day! The steak and ale pie was really flavourful and tasty and my partner's fish and chips were cooked really well! The waitress that served us was also really lovely!
