Excellent food- New owners Kev and Gaynor are friendly and welcoming- Food is wonderful- I had braised steak in red wine and mushroom sauce, with Dauphinois Potatoes and Fine beans- the steak was so melt in your mouth. Think food is served 6-9 Thurs, Fri and Sat and 12-3 on a sunday- best to book in advance as the pub gets very busy!

Visiting from Ireland. Great homemade food. Had the lamb kebabs, sublime! Friendly service by owners and staff. Well worth turning off the main road. No frozen food here folks!

12 of us ate at this Inn last night..including 4 littluns and also 3 dogs ....(not eating !)
Service was excellent..fast and friendly..with the children served first.
Lovely garden at the back for the kids to work off energy and run around.
There was a good choice of traditional pub fare and we enjoyed steaks, lasagne, pie, and casserole. All yummy ! Highly recommended.

Went in as a little rest break from driving and it was pie night. I can’t eat gluten so they even accommodated me and made me a huge plate of veg (the portion was amazing!). Even offered our dog a bit of beef or turkey too :) lovely place, very welcoming and the locals were friendly too.

Now under new ownership , excellent selection of drinks to suit everyone , called in for a quiet pint and had to find a lift home so come prepared 🍺🍺🍺 no food yet but it’s on the cards , a really lovely family pub . Gareth and Shani it was a pleasure to meet you I’m going to be a regular for sure …

Friendly local pub, looks to be recently renovated. Went for a Monday afternoon drink so it was quiet but enjoyed our visit. Not the best toilets. Small selection of beers and ciders, just a few on tap, but very reasonably priced. Would go back again.
