Oriental Gourmet 川北人家 Bubble Tea 奶茶

Came here for lunch with s colleague. The food was cooked fresh and was tasty, however I did find that it was slightly overpriced.
Our table was clean, however I did notice a lot of dust in places such as the windows and also the picture frames. That being said, I would return here for a quick bite to eat

The frog legs were too salty, covered with too much starch and nearly deep fried, whereas the vegetables in the pot were under-cooked and tasteless. We also ordered the black fungus cold dish but it was tasteless too - I recommend the chef to try use a bit more salt and black vinegar in that one.
Not sure how this restaurant got so many good reviews… guess the presentation of food looked alright.

I ordered food for delivery and it was not good. I ordered noodles with beef, What came was a strange kind of pasta with spicy beef. I’m not sure what kind of Chinese cuisine this is? But it was a strange flavour combination of Italian and Chinese. It is a shame because I ate at the restaurant before and the food was good about 4-5 months ago

I'd like to give zero stars but that isn't an option. Honestly don't order delivery from this restaurant - very bad experience.

Order at 6:30, told it will be 30 minutes. 45 minutes later, told order has just left, but in fact it doesn't arrive (less than 0.5 mile away) for another 90 minutes! The food is obviously cold and congealed by the time it arrives. There are many phone calls between original delivery on all of which I am told it will be "there in 10 mins" (like the proverbial taxi) and generally fobbed off, until I ask to cancel the order (at which point it turns up cold).

I complained to the management and after some resistance was promised a refund, but surprise surprise no refund has turned up.

The food was excellent. The fish sharing platter for the starter was incredible. The portion sizes were very big. We went on a match day so service was a little slow and we were in a rush - any other day and it would have been perfect

I just want to spend a couple of minutes praising this business. The owner (a lady) warmly welcome me and look after me. The Pad Thai I ordered was beyond delicious, it was literally a delightful experience dining in this very traditional Chinese restaurant. I will definitely come back more often as I work in Holloway Rd now. Thank you so much for everything. Oh also, I paid card (with no issue) a very good price:)

The layered hot pot was delicious and so full of food! Plus the prawns and frog legs were fried to be crispy which was amazing ☺️ Had a really great experience last night and will definitely return!

Spoke to the chef too and he was super friendly
