Great vegetarian spot in the heart of Wales. The inn has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere that appealed to us a bit more than the surrounding establishments. I had the vegetarian bear burger which was a bloody good sandwich!!! My partner had the daal, which was made exactly right with good flavour. Everything well priced. The service was perfect, they got you what you wanted, and left you alone, that's all I need. Definitely a top spot that should be checked out in the area.

Loved The Bear Inn!

We were staying in the local area and were not really sure where to go for dinner and took a chance by coming here - glad we did.

My family and I are veggie and it was so nice to go somewhere where the menu is all veggie and vegan meaning we weren’t restricted to the normal veggie burger and chips option.

Staff were nice and friendly and service good.

Would come again!

Delightful little Inn, lovingly decorated inside with restaurant and bar areas as well as seating outside. We only went for a meal, can therefore not comment on the rooms. The service is friendly, the menue of vegan and vegetarian meals is small but the food is tasty and well presented. Food is reasonably priced.

Their menu seem to be purely vegan, which scared of some of my colleagues, so I haven't eaten. Yet drinks and staff first class.
I must mention I've left my hoodie overthere, and after couple hours it was waiting for me as staff took care of it.
I'm not vegan, but definitely will be back to try their food... so far 5 stars.

Delicious vegetarian food. Best we have had for a long time.
Great location just across from the castle and car park.
A friendly welcome and service.
Thankyou

Good friendly pub, very welcoming to our group of touring bikers. Lunch was delayed slightly but was nice once it arrived. Definitely worth a visit of you are passing.

We stopped for lunch. Good pint of bitter (choice of one!) and pleasant glass of suvignon blanc. We chose cheddar/chutney and camembert/cranberry ciabattas from the vegetarian and vegan menu, and enjoyed both. The staff were welcoming and the service was good. £37 for 2 beers, 2 glasses of wine and 2 sandwiches.

Did not stay but popped in for lunch. What a gem! Vegetarian and vegan food; fabulous! Generous portions, beautifully presented and piping hot. We waited a little while but food is clearly freshly prepared. Lovely coffee too! Will return if in the area.
