The Giler Arms

Very picturesque setting for a lovely little country pub, close to the A5 so easy to find. Friendly and helpful staff made the visit very pleasant. Only went in for drinks and food, so unable to comment on rooms. The bar and restaurant areas are very well presented, and weather permitting there is a decked outside area which has lovely views over the pond in the garden area. Dogs are allowed in the bar area or outside but not in the restaurant, but food can be served in either. I went for the locally sourced rump which was cooked perfectly and very succulent, prices are reasonable and overall a great experience.

We visited the Giler arms on 24.6.22 whilst staying at the attached caravan site. We found all the staff very helpful and attentive. We were a party of five adults and one child. We ordered a
Mix of starters, main meals and sweets, all of which were served promptly and cooked to perfection. The restaurant was busy and there seemed to be a Mix of visitors and locals dining. The pub and restaurant is a credit to the owners and staff all of which went out of there way to make us feel welcome. The attached caravan site has wanderfull views and is undergoing improvements, new toilet and shower block and glamping units . It is close to many interesting places and attractions, yet set in a very peaceful rural position with great views. M. Woods

Just a fantastic place to stay, surrounded by nature's beauty in the Welsh mountains.
Food was beautiful, local produce, the young chef cooked my steak to perfection, the whole team were just wonderful.
Friendly, attentive, nothing was too much trouble oh the breakfast was lovely too! Freshly cooked with local produce.
Would definitely stay here again.

Great location with lovely mountain views and onsite lake. The newer facilities are immaculate and pub/restaurant onsite serves delicious food and drinks aplenty. Breakfast was also lovely. Close to bus stop that takes you to Betws Y Coed in less than 20 minutes or you can drive in less than 15, but also close to other tourist spots for day trips. We camped with electric hookup and had a great time. Thanks to Ed, family and lovely staff for a brilliant stay. Will definitely return😁

Booked a meal for 6 waited over an hour to get served - food awful , steaks mooing when asked for medium to well done. Vegetables looked tinned or reused fish was alleged 8oz but looked like frozen microwave pinged, gammon was like sliced bacon with tinned pineapple and burger was served with cold buns asked for management and they never showed up and embarrassed waitress dealt with it all

Loved it and what a find. If you like being in the middle of nowhere with peace and silence, it's here.
The Lady who I think owns it was really pleasant and helpful, the rooms were clean,comfortable and we'll equiped with tea and coffee making facilities.
The pub /restaurant was nice ,good food, beer and reasonably priced. The view from the restaurant was superb,looking over a small pond and church to the hills beyond.
My only niggle was the bathroom door in the B&B which really banged as it closed and woke me up a few times. This is not an issue with the property more the fact it's so peaceful and still at night it gives you a bit of a start 😉

I never stayed over so cant rate the room, but i have stayed in the past in my camper, lovely czmp site value for money beautiful scenery, and the lake is stunning

Thank you for a lovely evening meal for all our family. Marget was a brilliant waitress, the food was tasty, the lady at the bar was very welcoming and the evening was great value. Restaurant was a great atmosphere but so was bar area. Thank you so much
