Fitness First London Streatham

Good for gym. Poolside gets very wet and slippery and didn't drain properly. The pool also tasted like sweat. The shower at the pool to rinse was cold and the showers in the ladies room smelled bad. They have good amenities. Hairdryer and body soap available and towels. There are classes here.

I have just finished my membership. The good class instructors cancelled. They do not have a Zumba class. Dirty toilets, not working aircon system, small, ohhhh that thing of a free month if you bring a friend didn't ever materialize for 2 referrals, apparently we did something wrong. but their stuff helped on the process. The machines need an urgent update. Stayed for a bit for the good instructors, but with the class time changes, I cant make it anymore. For the free weights, any gym would do.

The gym is nice and clean and fitted with plenty of equipment.

Great gym - members of staff are always very friendly and ready to help any time. The gym is quite small and can feel crowded at time, especially busy periods but that’s the only disadvantage. Well kept and clean, there is always someone cleaning on the ground and making sure the changing rooms are kept too. I’d recommend for the brilliant support you get here.

We had a really smooth sign up with some great staff members who helped us out and made us feel really welcome.
We were first shown round by Jahnai and he helped talk us through membership options. He was very friendly.
Dillson then signed us up at another date! very helpful and knowledgeable.
Kai also helped us out. A big reason for choosing this gym was the friendly faces on the desk to help you out they are very welcoming and always working hard.

This gym needs to fix the basic features like the air-conditioning that was broken all summer and still isn't working correctly. See where the black mould has built all over the ceilings in the changing rooms and showers. This is very unsafe/ unhealthy!! Other things for example the cleanliness of the toilets, there needs to be maintenance and cleaning staff to monitor these more often. 2x toilets in the men's changing room with one running isn't acceptable. Why isn't the toilet near the pool open?

The lockers which have no hangers, just the plastic where they used to be. These haven't been cleaned in forever and smell really badly.

The staff is friendly and professional. The gym facilities are very good too. The weights room is probably one of the bests of all Fitness Firsts, the variety of machines make my workout pretty easy. Swimming pool is well heated. This morning I tried a free dance class with Page. I was a bit worried cause it was the first time I was trying a class in that style. I can just say, it was brilliant: very relaxing, engaging, student centre and fun. A big thank you to you, Page. And see you again next week.

The highlight of my day, this place is. Everybody is so professional while simultaneously personable. Alex the manager is lovely, as well as all the guys here. Janni showed me around and gave me tips on my form with machines. If I’m ever stuck or need help- there’s always somebody happy to help within a close proximity. I’d recommend anyone to Fitness First Streatham.
