David Lloyd Leicester Meridian

Mixed opinions on this place.
The good:
Nice swimming area.
Fairly decent gym equipment available.
Nice lounge area.
Pleasant staff (apart from one personal trainer who I haven't seen for a while so must have been sacked!)

The bad:
The weights area is absolutely abysmal. Basically the forgotten corner of the gym.
The good detailed above is not near good enough when considering costs of membership.
Air conditioning is turned down and becomes very stuffy, again saving costs shouldn't be a thing because of the huge membership fees.
The people that come to this gym are well... mainly inconsiderate, loud, don't put weights back, hog multiple bits of equipment. Come on take charge of the gym a bit more!
Water fountains are always leaking or completely broken.

The bad outweighs the good, hopefully someone will read my review and at least something small can improve but I doubt it since the weights area has not changed since 2017 at least!

I have just returned after 7 weeks because I had an operation. Staff are as lovely and helpful as always. The club looked very clean and tidy. The pool was very enticing and thoroughly enjoyed my first visit back. Well done to all staff members .

The mens showers are coated in black mould on the pipe work, upper tiles and ceilings. The mens shower floors are dirty with unsanitary levels of dirt in all corners, hair and general grime. I have raised my complaint repeatedly and no action has been taken. I have sent photos to the general manager and was promised that jet washing would take place, but nothing has been done. If it was not for the gyms location to my work in an otherwise rural area, I would have left.

It’s really strange with the same price I pay in all the different city u got more facilities for activities better SPA better swimming pool for kid better playground for the kid… they need to improve more…but the staff they r great the hygiene is great…

One of the best gyms in Leicester! Love the atmosphere and facilities! Had moved to cheaper gyms for a few years, but really disliked going to them. After having been a member again, for just a short while, can honestly say that I've missed the quality of service and environment of a David Lloyd gym.

When will you be improving the sauna and Jacuzzi its never warm inside and doesnt stay constant? Also when are you going to upgrade the cardio machines the tred mills are outdated cannot plug your phones cannot watch anything on tvs on there? it would be nice if we can a modernised gym

Good all round gym with a vast array of facilities. The staff are friendly and helpful and the in-house cafe is an added bonus post workout.

Great place to shop a variety of shops from clothes, household, food, and market. Nice Christmas decor and Santa's grotto.
