Altitude centre offer excellent and efficient training sessions. However, I suffer from altitude sickness and was not able to prevent it with 4 1.5hour sessions close together. Holly and Nick are very friendly and proficient. The spinning sessions are tough and fun! Recommended! For altitude sickness probably better off renting tent or using specific medicine (diamox).

Having been to the altitude centre a few times and even taken by 17 year old son I can say that the altitude centre is well worth a visit. It hurts when there but lost session you do feel quiet euphoric. Probably the joy of breathing easy again!!

Ps they share the showed with a gym and they are of a very high standard.

Worth a visit just to try it out.

Very, very poor experience and utterly not worth the £129.00. I cannot express have just how disappointed I actually am. On 12th July 2019, I had appointment at 9:00am with Chris, but he was apparently not there. Apparently he swapped my slot with another person previous day. I was also not given choice of another day, as I wanted to see Chris. My 'professional' assessors were two (later a third one joined!) interns, and they didn't even know why I was actually there for, i.e. which type of assessment; I had chosen Mountaineering assessment. EVERYTHING (such as it is!) was done in 20 minutes. The rest of the time it was about selling, “altitude multivitamins”, use of gym, use of POD (now, THAT was disappointment!), and so on…. My initial feedback was read from a handbook, which frankly I could have done and saved myself £129. My daughter bought this as a gift for my forthcoming trip to Peru and Patagonia.
Today is 22nd July 2019 and I am still waiting for my ‘report’ and I am so angry and have no heart to tell my daughter just how dreadful this was. I just hope people save themselves money and time and not bother. Just to be sure this is received by the company, I will email this feedback to them and I hope someone at the Altitude Centre has some decency left and they will 1) respond to this and 2) return my money!

The altitude centre made a massive difference to my training for Leadville 100mile race both from altitude and fitness training. The classes, the POD and circuits provided a perfect adjunct to my running schedule made all the more exciting by the wonderful team who provided excellent advice, a good deal of laughs and some tough love! Excellent in all aspects!

I wanted to test it out for a long time and wasn't disappointed. Great treadmills and facilities! Will come back

I have no mountaineering experience however am looking at Mont Blanc climb next year.
Undertook Mountaineering Assessment to understand Altitude impact as part of planning.
Excellent session, very informative and aided making decisions about how to train.
Great to have an assessor, James, who has experienced altitude so was speaking from first hand knowledge.

Very professional service and has answered a first time climbers questions such that I can enjoy the mountain by being prepared.

Great place to train for high altitude trips. I went to the Altitude Centre to train for Kilimanjaro for 6 weeks before the trip. Everyone from the gym was very accommodating moving timeslots to also fit my schedule. It felt like a local community where all the trainers would know all the people coming in making it feel relaxed and and an enjoying experience.

Only minus (on the old location near St Paul) was the changing facilities which were 2 floors down and owned by another company.

I'll definitely be back to leverage the Altitude Centre to train for my first Triathlon.
