The Thames Club

Fantastic gym, really great facilities, always clean with cleaners present. Tried the Hot Yoga as part of my gym routine and has really helped with mobility. New reformer studio looks like something to try next. Plenty going on at this gym.

A lot of potential but so DIRTY!

I've been to many gyms and this is by far the most expensive and
least organised I have seen.

I feel like the existing good reviews are from those who attend classes or who have never been to another gym.

None of the weights are put back after use. There is no order to any of the equipment and absolutely no one wipes down any equipment. Not sure what the reason for this is.

I've even seen the trainers use equipment with a client, and then walk off once done without removing the weights nor wiping down the sodden sweaty equipment.

This gym has a nice atmosphere, but you pay purely for less people and not for modern or clean equipment.

Please find a way to encourage wiping down of the equipment (especially for the trainers, as people tend to follow their example), and if there is any way encouraging people to put their weights back, this would be the best gym in staines.

Currently you're much better off using one of the much cheaper chain gyms as they are so much cleaner and more organised. Especially if you don't do classes.

Ive only visited the pool side. Good for all ages. No lifeguard when I went but the pool isnt very deep. May not be somewhere people who want complete privacy would go due to the open changing rooms but serves its purpose.

Used a Hussle pass today and really enjoyed my visit. Excellent pool and poolside facilities. Plenty of room in the changing rooms, friendly staff and easy to use pass.

I have been a member of The Thames Club for 9 years. It is a great place to rewind after a day at work! The team have always been helpful and friendly and the communication has always been great! I have also recommended the meeting rooms to my company which they also use now on a regular basis. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

My kids have swimming lessons here with aquarangers. The venue is immaculate, safe, friendly and perfect. The swim teacher Ash is amazing and built such a great rapport with my kids.

Very unfriendly towards mothers with babies coming for expensive baby classes. Told multiple times we cannot keep our prams in the cafe as the members cannot use the bar and asked to leave them in the car. If you don't want prams, don't take money from us for classes.

Lovely atmosphere, lovely professional staff. Based purely on swim session ...I would've given 5 stars but minor things like no loo roll and no warning for step into shower visible (trip hazard as it blends in with the floor, no easily visible). Steam room not working was a disappointment but there is a notice at reception informing customers.
Cafe lovely, Hygiene and covid safety is very high, feel very safe and welcomed to the club.
