Expensive place,
they don’t even sell day passes
very much a members club
they certainly don’t want any riffraff in there.
Which is fair enough, but sometimes you just want a day pass?
Without the expensive contract.

Over half of the high level lights not working in the pool area and many mot working under water, pool tiles slippy and wall covering we worn. Showers not repaired, leaking or edging/sealant missing or damaged. Outdoor tennis lights not working x3. Adults without children in the family changing area, fed back many times and nothing done about it (this is now a potential safeguarding issue). Overall a poorly maintained and managed club. Much, much more that could be mentioned.

I have started using this gym, the only issue I have is the air conditioning is on high and we are currently in the winter which makes it very uncomfortable when working out.

Read this before joining!
I came to the end of my membership and whilst planning to cancel I noticed that the club had taken £230 from my account to pay for other members who I believe had already cancelled thier membership! Trying to contact someone is a nightmare, they always answer if you want to join but post that they don’t care, I have now spoken to 4 members of staff at Lichfield and just get told they will look into it but no action is ever taken. I’m times of hardship and increased living costs I find it dispicable that they just take that sort of money from my account without any prior notice!! Shocking to say the least!! If you want a gym try another brand!

Great staff, seriously poor management on day to day aspects of keeping the place in order. Leaving in Feb due to lack of value. Hopefully the place gets some investment soon.

I am a current member here. I cannot knock the staff they are great from the receptionists to the tennis coaches. However in terms of “value for money” it leaves an awful lot to be desired and is in desperate need of an upgrade. The bar/waiting area is dated and needs new carpet and some fresh paint as a minimum. The doors on the corridor leading to the changing rooms just need taking off. The changing rooms are fairly good but the showers smell occasionally and there is some black mould on the ceiling tiles. The door to the pool is broken (male side) and the replacement handle looks like a child fitted it. The pool is always freezing, the shower in the pool area has had an awful white Perspex panel on it for months (looks battered) don’t even look in the corners and the boiler room where they sweep all the sludge. Jacuzzies are so hit and miss and often have too much chlorine in. Steam room needs a revamp as does the sauna. I don’t use the outdoor pool but I hear that is also needing some work. The main reason I come to the gym is for tennis and at least 5 of the lights were out of action for 10 months and the bubble didn’t go up until late November so I was unable to play otherwise they are in great condition especially the 3 hard courts. The all weather is fine and serves its purpose. They also contacted my wife whilst she was working in the gym asking if she knew anyone who wanted to join at a 50% off membership (yes us!) We pay an extortionate amount of money to go here and it has great potential but needs investment. Definitely one of the worst David Lloyds in terms of facilities I have ever been and not worth the £89.50 per person per month.

The pool is absolutely freezing and has been getting colder for months now. They need to heat the water it's just unpleasant.

I’ve been a member since October and the draw for me is the outside pool which we’ve used several times a week since joining. The team were clear that it is open all year round and so far it’s only been closed a few days due to ice and heating problems. Open as soon as they were sorted. As the only outside pool for some miles it is a real plus. Staff are very friendly and approachable. Good gym facilities and new showers in the changing rooms. Very happy with our membership.
