Xercise4Less Newport

UPDATE: Since writing this my free month finished (a friend used his points in exchange for a pass for me) and I went into the gym to join, given that the building is plastered in £9.99 per month stickers I thought it was great value for money. However THIS IS NOT THE CASE! If you work 9-5pm you will not only be looking at £21.99 per month but a £20 joining fee too. Maybe a better name would be EXERCISE 4 THE SAME AS EVERYWHERE ELSE. Plus when the friend who referred me in made a similar comment on the member's hub,it was deleted by the management. I have now joined "The Gym" in Newport centre which is 24hrs and only £12.99 per month (as it advertises!) and there are other members considering doing the same.

I am leaving the below review because it was my first impression and you too may fall into the same trap.

Amazing value for money, clean, new equipment and loads of it so hardly ever wait for a machine. It also has a cage and boxing ring if that's your thing. Classes are good too. If I were to be really picky it'd be nice to have a coin slot locker but that shouldn't be a deal breaker.

It's amazing value very affordable, the staff are amazing they go above and beyond very friendly and welcoming. The classes are wonderful amazing workout. The services provide are excellent and 5 star rated can't complain. Literally have everything also the ladies only section is a bonus to motivate everyone. Highly recommended gym. 👌

Been going to this gym for a while now and won't be changing! Having tried most of the other gyms in Newport, they don't really compare. Value for money is excellent. Staff are nice and wide range of equipment.

I would have give a 5 stars but cleaning in changing room could have been better, it was really messy, temperature was really low, it was quite cold this morning inside, and do you guys really charge 20p for hairdryer? That is ridiculous 😒

Great gym for the price! At £9.99 a month, no contract , no fee, you cannot complain at all. Better value for money than any gym in close proximity, that's for certain.

Rocked up and the entry system changed, now need a pin code. Didn't get an email about that! Reception gave me my PIN. Also advised to download the app. But since found the app is no longer supported (since Sept?) so advise was incorrect. Only knocked a star off because of this, simple communication.
Great workout, plenty of equipment for cardiac and all muscle groups. Most keeping their social distance. Not much staff cleaning that I could see but users were wiping equipment down after use.
Feeling suitably exhausted.

Decent gym. Lots of kits and classes. Now open after lockdown with measures such as sanitising wipes and stations etc. Cannot go wrong for 9.99 a month. 15.99 if no contract

it's now JD sports Gym, the place is really nice , staff are very helpful .
Unfortunately not everything is good, for instance most of the cable machines don't have all the attachments , this is very poor for a gym that's only been open a couple of weeks.
The other problem is a lot of people that use the gym are not sanitizing the equipment before and after use and the staff don't seem to be around to spot it and remind people.
Its a real shame after all we've been through , some people are lazy and lack the proper hygiene.
After all that zip do like the gym and like the space.
they do need to address the above issues
