Very large ruins surrounded by a beautifully mowed lawn! A surprise to come across this oasis of history and green-ness (is that even a word?!) in the middle of housing estates. Lots of useful information boards around - but not too many! Seems a popular spot for locals to have picnics! The underground plumbing (small stream) still flowing after all these years....Small, free, parking (but if full there is a lot of street parking only a minute or two away). English Heritage site with free entry. No facilities so no toilets, no food. Really enjoyed this impressive building and worth a visit on a bright sunny day like today.

We were utterly shocked when we parked up to find these huge magnificent remains are unattended by the EH team, left to countless children climbing all over the walls and Dog mess everywhere. Something this architecturally great should be monitored entry and charge or discounted for EH members.

Lovely Abbey with information and history given on plaques. Much prefer places like this that aren't all set up for making money out of people. You can actually walk around and take your time.

Beautiful place. Free to enter. A shame there are a few temporary fences due to poorly maintained masonry, deserves to be better taken care of.

Really impressive ruins. Lots of main structures still in place and a lovely place to wander around. I had vibes of laycock abbey in parts. Please note the the car park is very small.

Very clean and tidy. A well-kept, peaceful and pleasant place to visit. A small car park but it was empty anyway, so no parking issues. An impressive place to visit.

Amazing piece of history, I particularly liked the information boards. I walked there, but there is some parking on site. Allow a good 30 minutes to have a walk around and soak in the history.

What a magnificent, and peaceful place to go and visit and a nice walk leading to it there is alot there to see which is very nice but my only wish is it was looked after better its a pity its not monitored and properly maintained. The grass needs cutting, people have thrown there rubbish in the underground streams and it looks like it has been there for years and there is even an old abandoned pushchair. The original floor tiles are covered in dirt with no protective screen over them it's a shame the English heritage have let it get this way.
