A must see in Bury St Edmunds! I travelled from Ipswich for a day trip and I was impressed by the ruins.

Very modern building with lots of stained glass windows and interesting features. It also contains a Lego model of the cathedral.

Stunning, particularly inside, so much history. Very well maintained and heard the grand organ and choir having a practice session, just WOW! The Abby grounds are also very well maintained and so interesting. A nice space to chill and take in all the different areas, the history is incredible mentioned on the abbey ruins, which has been very helpful in my quest for my ancestors.

In very good condition this Abby retains much of it's past with many stained glass windows and artifacts such a brilliant piece of architecture you must see if in the area . If you like me are not religious, don't let it put you off visiting. ( no one tried converting me😂).

Enjoyed day out with friend we enjoyed the food in the restaurant attached to the St Edmunds Cathedral, good service, plenty of food to choose , very reasonable prices. w
We appreciated the plaques with the historical facts, which were placed in appropriate position around the town. The tapestry of the Creation was a worthy visit in the Bury St Edmunds Cathedral. Hence the 5*s given.

Beautiful garden even in mid winter. I can imagine how dazzling the colours must be in spring and summer. Love the ruins.

These beautiful gardens and ancient abbey ruins are a gem to walk around on a sunny day. Really well cared for and a great little cafe there too.
