Robin ids never far away if I have concerns or queries, he is always quick to respond and he is able to explain things to me so that I understand - and that is very much appreciated. I like that I can pay for the teams services by direct debit - spending it across the year is extremely helpful and I love the fact that everything is done electronically making returns etc very easy and efficient to complete - but that doesn't stop me being able to go in the office to catch up!
What you get with Robin and the team is a personal and bespoke service. You are made to feel welcome, you get advise and guidance and explantations in a quick, sensible and understandable way. So thank you all for your help and support to me and my business. It is very much appreciated.
After a few months, they told me that they disagreed on how to charge VAT on service for goods to be exported. They changed all my invoices on service for export in Quickbooks and included 20% of VAT (read section 15 of VAT notice 741A ). They made a mistake of £37K on my VAT return ! (including £20K to pay when I was NOT VAT registered !) As they don't want to submit a VAT correction form, I did it myself. As I did that, they decided to stop our partnership. They told me that even if we stop our partnership everything will be up to date at the end of the contract. lol They didn't do anything. Now, my new accountant agrees with me, but charges me on catch up fees for the job incorrectly done by this company.
I claimed a refund of 60% on all the payments (£273 per month + £550 of catchup fees) which I think is fair regarding the amount and the stressful situation but they keep their head in the sand like ostriches and are unable to recognise their mistakes... (3 to 5 emails in further months to try to find a solution before a complaint) Now a complaint is done, wait and see.
Don't be impressed by this kind of company telling you that they are experts and professionals. Charging £20K of VAT on a company which is not VAT registered, even a beginner will never make this kind of mistake.
EDIT : Of course in the public answer, they said that they will contact me and of course nobody done it... Don't trust them.
