BFS Accountants Ltd

I have been with BFS Accountants Ltd for over two years now, and they have been undertaking my Payroll and my Annual Accounts. I unfortunately would not recommend this company to anyone. I have been running my business myself, and I understood the importance of having a professional accountant to ensure that they are filing my accounts on time, and within the correct procedures. With my business now expanding, I thought it would be best to apply for an RLS loan, to enable me to move the business into a proper studio and hire an experienced staff member, but BFS Accountant have been slow to provide me with the correct level of information I require for the RLS loan; resulting in the RLS loan lapsing due to BFS Accountant not providing me with the information in time. When I have raised my concerns with BFS Accountant they have outlined that the reason why it was late, was due to me not responding back to them for over 7 months, but this is because they only send an email, with a set of the accounts, and tell me to approve the documentation, to which I have done before, but something was wrong this time, because they are not understanding my business, and when I have raised this with BFS Accountants, they have not been forthcoming with my meeting request, or anything, but if anything they just blame it on me for not asking the relevant questions, to which I do not know the relevant questions are, other than, why are my figures different from the ones they have. I have paid BFS Accountants on a monthly basis to undertake my Payroll, and they have not taken the time to understand my business, or assisted me as what they promised when I first appointed them. I was told last week that I am now making a loss, which was news to me, as from my accounts we were making a profit. They stated this was due to my salaries, to which they undertake my patrol, so I am trying to understand if they deal with my payroll, why aren’t they able to forecast, quality control my payroll, given they have exclusive access to this domain. My internal administrator looked at the account and asked me about my DLA; which was something I had never heard about, and I was wondering why hadn’t BFS Accountants had raised this question to me. They outlined to me, it was because I didn’t ask them it. But until last week I had never heard of that anagram. I unfortunately would not recommend BFS Accountants to anyone moving forward with their business. I initially appointed them because they were a larger company than me, and they would be able to provide me with the support and insight to ensure that I comply with my submissions, they assured me that they had experience within my sector, but I do not feel like they have. I have been paying a monthly fee for their services, and they have not been providing me with the professional level of services I expected from a limited accountancy business.
