I have been using this company since they took over the accounts side from PR Financial Services. Some of the PR Financial team moved over to Sunny and having dealt with Christine Smith for over 30 years, I saw no reason to change. I have always received a great service and this continues. They are always available. Christine Smith has always dealt with any questions quickly and professionally.
Karl offers professional advise whilst explaining everything in a simple straight forward manner.

Being a brand new business and not having any knowledge on tax returns I came to Sunny after being recommended. My experience with them has been awful. Firstly after submitting all my information to them for my tax return they sent me someone else’s completed tax return back for me to sign, I had somebody else’s information, everything! Full name, DOB, address, national insurance, I mean everything. This made me question where my information had gone. I rang Sunny and left a voicemail but nobody called back. I had to keep calling them, eventually 4 days after my first call somebody finally called back, and to say this was a serious GDPR breech it was put down to no more than human error, okay, people make mistakes. Moving on, when I finally got sent my own tax return to sign I noticed it was missing information regarding my student loan, I emailed them to let them know that this needed adding on. It took a week for someone to reply and was simply told they are not dealing with my account, in the mean time I was getting daily emails telling me to sign my tax return, even emails stating that if I did not pay the invoice they would not be processing my tax return, sometimes up to 4 emails per day. After getting quite stressed about the constant emails and threats not process my tax return I emailed again to say this was happening but also to explain that I will be signing them once the information on them was correct and also as soon as it was correct and processed I would pay the invoice, I requested for the emails to be stopped until this was resolved. I was told the emails would not be stopped as they are automated. I was also told, and I quote, “you do realise that we only tick a box in regards to your student loan?” This I found to be very insulting, no I did not know this, the reason I was paying for an accountant to process my tax returns was because I didn’t have the knowledge to be able to do it myself, so why would I know it was a tick box?
Lastly when it was all finally updated, I signed my documents and paid the invoice, and received zero communication confirming whether it had been submitted or anything. I knew I had a bill to pay, ie tax/national insurance, so was awaiting instructions on this, nothing came. So I sent an email asking for an update, this time to their payroll email, as the person who recommend I use them told me I would get a response from that email address as that’s the one they send enquiries to. A month later still no response so I send another email, and the response I got was, and I quote “the danger with sending to a generic email address is everyone thinks someone else will answer it”, no apology for the delay, and not fully answering my enquiry, just telling me to email them directly, although last time I emailed them I was told they were not dealing with my account, and blaming the client for sending it to the wrong email address. Safe to say I will not be using them again.

This accountancy firm are like no other. They bend over backwards to help you and they do this at a very reasonable cost.
I have been with these for 10yrs now and I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Top marks!

I’ve been with Sunny Accountants for about 4 years and I’ve been so impressed. Nothing is too much trouble; Karl and the team are quick to respond to queries and they make, what seems complicated and a bit scary to me, seem easy! I’d be lost without them (and likely in debt to the HMRC!).
I would happily and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an accountant!
