Silverpetal Jewellery Making Courses - Chesterfield

I’ve been attending weekly evening classes at Silverpetal since September 2016,

Weekly classes are self paced with workbooks for beginners to help develop the skills needed to design your own jewellery. The workshop is really well equipped, and Ange is always on hand with support. There’s also a competitively priced shop with most of the tools/ materials you need to make silver or copper jewellery.

I’ve also attended a variety of specialist workshops held at the weekends (including wire working, stone setting, PMC, Soldering Masterclass, enamelling). Ange is an excellent tutor – courses are well planned in advance and class sizes are small to ensure that everyone gets the support they need. Absolutely recommended for anyone wishing to learn a new skill.

I attend the weekly workshops at Silverpetal. I enjoy making the different pieces of jewellery following work packs and also creating my own ideas with Angela's help.

I have also attended the Stone setting and Fold forming classes. I enjoyed learning the new skills to make different designs and also how to use different tools that I had not used before. The classes were both taught at a good pace and with small numbers of people so plenty of support though the day.

Ange is a great teacher; professional, friendly and always on hand to help and give advice. The classroom has good facilities and a wide range of tools.
I started by attended the 5 week beginners course and now I've joined one of the weekly term time classes.
Today I took part in the specialist wire twisting class and really enjoyed it. Really informative and I came away feeling a lot more confident using the technique.

I’ve attended 3 of Angela’s in depth courses now.
Angela is a great teacher. Explaining how to do things in a clear and patient manner. I’ve learnt so many new things and also made improvements in my existing skills.
The studio is well a well organised and pleasant space.
I’ve booked in for two more courses and I am really looking forward to going back.
We are very lucky to have Silver Petal In our local area. Highly recommended!

I attended the advanced Fold Forming Class yesterday with Ange. I really enjoyed this follow on class from the first Fold Forming class. I have used the techniques from the first class quite a lot in my jewellery making so I am really looking forward to trying out these new techniques to make more pieces. It was very informative and thorough, and as usual the content and pace was excellent making for a great day. Thanks Ange!

Thankyou so much ange, after attending the masterskills bench class over the weekend I can hopefully conquer my fears that come with the silversmithing. Or to be more precise, soldering. I’m amazed at the different ways to solder something and having the hand out will remind me of them all. Doing the course over 2 days made it more relaxing and enjoyable. Absolutely brilliant instruction, excellent tips, the workshop set up was really good, I absolutely loved it and what a friendly environment, I met some lovely people that I hope to meet again as I am definately going to be attending more of the classes here. Just what I needed to kickstart me back into silversmithing when my confidence was lost. Thankyou so much for a most enjoyabl, relaxing and informative weekend with lovely people. Will definitely recommend this class.

Sawing and soldering 2 day master class was excellent. Learnt loads of hints and tips throughout the weekend. Ange is very patient teacher and didn't mind going over things until I understood.
Can't recommend this 2 day course enough

I have attended weekly studio time at Silverpetal for around 6 years after doing the beginners course in silversmithing and love it. It's a great hobby to get into if anyone is considering the beginners course.
