Also at same time current owners trying to change use to develop mixed use commercial and houses. Local plan currently states aviation use only.

Hopefully the airport reopens soon. It closed in 2014. Reopening the airport would create thousands of new jobs, and benefit the local population. The aviation industry is not to blame for climate change. It contributes a tiny amount. Let the airport reopen!
