Remember video game arcades? I do, with glorious nostalgia. Namco Funscape is one of vanishingly few remaining such places, with a great range of modern video games alongside air hockey tables (I am unbeatable!), bowling, pool and table-tennis.

Great place for groups, great place for friends or couples to have fun. Absolutely suitable for adults, and in fact I think it is a bit more popular with adults than for kids based on my visits. The area for bowling, pool and table-tennis includes a bar.

Namco Funscape, a place as to which you might not know it is even there unless you saw the sign below. Situated right on south bank next to the the London Eye, Shrek's Adventure as well as London Dungeons and also some more which I have not mentioned. Look out for the mcDonalds which is right next to Namco.

Looking at the name and then shortly followed by the pictures. Its quite simply a playground for all ages. 2 Bowling alleys, dodgems, arcade games everywhere, ping pong, pool and also a bar where you can have a drink. They also have a couple of other attractions like escape and also lazer maze. Bowling was the main attraction for me on this occasion with 2 of my good friends. It is first come first serve basis for the modern bowling alley however , the techno looking version is a pay-by-meter which is quite unique, and that is also first come first serve.

Service is available from the lanes and also about a 5 metre walk is the bar which you can get a variety of non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks from. The bowling system itself is quite unique as well because instead of the normal very mechanical way of cleaning up the skittles. They are all attached to wires which tighten when the ball has reached a certain point along the bowling alley. This is what probably keeps the price lower than normal.

Overall, for my first experience it was a really fun few hours. I would recommend taking lots of cash because cash machines will charge £2 per access to your card.

A great place to spend an afternoon.

I was pleasantly surprised by the size and reasonable prices. We spent £25 between two of us and spent a good two hours there!

Plenty of good arcade and ticket winning games, along with billiards, ping pong and bowling. Plus they’ve got huge screens and a bar for sport if you need a break.

Wasn’t too busy on a Sunday afternoon and most of the games worked fine.

Will visit again.

Crazy place that reminds me the arcades I've been to in Tokyo. Large variety of machines spread across multiple floors. They also have a bowling alley that is better during off peak (9-5 weekdays). It's usually very crowded here with tourists but it's still a great time if you come when it's not so busy.

Great location and easy to find. Has a lot of arcade games to choose from. I went on a Monday and it wasn’t very busy though place was packed with mostly teenagers. Ticket counter had a long queue. Not many staff serving. Staff would also disappear from the counter after serving the last customer in queue, a new customer in the queue would end up waiting for ages till the staff reappeared again. The staff weren’t friendly or that helpful either. I opted to play two games of bowling which was fun. I wanted to try the bumper cars but I thought they were very expensive.

Very fun and a cool place, but we had to find staff a lot of times as we did not know where to get stuff like the token for bumper cars and one of the machines stopped working after eating £2 so we had to wait around 10 minutes just for someone to come and give us the £2 back. I would say it's a great place but kind of understaffed as well as a few of them not being the best of staff.

Used to come down here every so often but its been awhile, its changed a lot, there are less arcades than before, although it's more kid friendly which i guess is what they were aiming for whereas it was pretty much a hanging spot before.

The family seemed like they enjoyed the visit.

This place has evolved over the years in a good way!

More arcade games, more entertainment like bowling lanes, sports bar, VR game experience games etc

This arcade is a 3 floors venue with food, snacks, beverages and prizes included. Make sure to keep those tickets, whenever you have a round of games! You may have enough for a prize! It's a great place for everyone of all age!

Before you enter, you have to check in on the NHS app while wearing your face mask on at all times & then will be let in by their security guard at the entrance. Toilets are available on lower ground floor and card machines of £1.99 charge available also.
