Derren Brown's Ghost Train

This might be one of the worst rides I have ever been on. For a £20M+ price tag, that is beyond unacceptable. The VR headsets are uncomfortable and require you to use one hand to hold them in place at all times. The first section of the ride was not scary, and I can't comment on any other sections of the ride because the attraction malfunctioned right after, leaving 30 or so people streaming out of a side exit. An absolute waste of time and money that should have been invested in a proper dark ride(s). This investment strategy will haunt the park for years to come and will, in all likelihood, be its downfall

Booked a time slot did not matter as they were letting people in that hadn’t booked.

When we walked into the hall with the suspended train carriage I had hope but was due to be shattered as soon as we stepped foot onto it.

Most head sets were not working, no audio on both sections of the ride, had to swap mid way through to another head set with only half audio by then missing some of the video and ruining the atmosphere. you don’t have time to adjust anything just have to throw them on, half are bagged and not working and to top it off they don’t stay on your head, you have to hold them to your face!

What a bag of s***t don’t wast your time, queue times are bad at Thorpe park and time is precious, we missed out on saw for this as queue times were so long through the day, DO SAW INSTEAD, I regret not doing it with some of the reviews that ride has.

This was an interesting experience. I'm glad they let you book in advance to avoid long queues, the whole experience takes quite some time!

I have been to multiple VR experiences so I found it less scary than expected. That being said, there were a few moments that still made me jump. VR tech just needs more realistic graphics to help in my opinion.

My wife, however, almost died from fear throughout the entire thing. I thought she was going to crush my hand because she was gripping it so hard and I left the ride with nail marks all up my forearm from her panicking so much!

A clever experience which I enjoyed. Highly recommended as it's something very different compared to the "normal" rides.

The start of the ride and the train carriage all look great and I genuinely thought it would be worth the long wait. Unfortunately the VR headsets are painful to wear as they seem to completely rest their weight on your nose, mine didn't work properly so I found another seat but this also didn't work or fit properly. I was expecting something scary and well put together like you might get at Disney land but I was so disappointed, I think they could have done a much better and scarier ride if they ditched the headsets and changed the story. It was honestly the worst ride I've been on and I just understand what was supposed to be scary about it and the others around me said the same, seriously don't waste your time. On the other hand my young nephew and niece thought it was good but what do they know! ;)

Just brilliant. Not at all what we expected. Enjoyed every second of this experience and I would love to go again and take family members that haven’t experienced this yet. Well worth booking your time slot for! of everything we did it was the one that got spoken about the most in the car ride home. A truly memorable experience.

I'm not sure why people are giving the ride bad reviews. I think that the ride was really fun! It could have been scarier but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. It's very creative and the actors were great. I recommend. 👍

Absolutely shocking ride - I agree with others that this this is possibly the worst theme park ride I've ever been on. From start to finish a horrible experience. Not thrilling or scary in the slightest in fact it's laughable! The VR is awful but so is the whole set up and story. Come on Thorpe Park - you can't make paying customers wait over an hour for this! Don't waste your time. Rest of Thorpe Park is excellent 👌

I just found out this ride cost £13,000,000 in 2016! That is a complete joke! This ride is horrendous. Just terrible. Cringe worthy. If You gave me £13m to design a ride... I mean really! I promise could make something far superior! It would move on rails as well
