The area of Bowland contains some of the most interesting and historical buildings in Lancashire. The church of Ss Peter and Paul is beautiful. Also the Salem chapel at Holden (pic 5), the school at Sawley (pic 1), the school and schoolhouse in Bolton (pics 12, 13) and so much more. Allow plenty of time to walk around the area. It's well worth the effort. Enjoy!
