My favourite church I have ever been to. Peaceful, beautiful out of the way setting. Stunning building with incredible history. Also have church branded jam, marmalade, mustard etc on sale inside.

I've wanted to visit here since I found out about it when doing my history/archaeology degree in the mid 80's. I've finally visited and it's as lovely and impressive as I expected it to be.
Beautiful small church. The ancient wooden walls are wonderful.
Well worth the wait!

Such an amazing building. Full of character and history. The oldest wooden church in the world. It's amazing it's lasted this long

What an absolute gem! Beautifully maintained with lots of quirky features. Look out for the lepers peep hole (almost opposite door as you enter). I loved the kneeling cushions, all hand made and different. There was even a little shop inside selling jams, pencils, cards etc to help with upkeep of the church.
We went for a walk outside and a local man suggested a lovely route alongside fields and a woodland. It really made the visit special.

Wonderful piece of history and so well preserved. To be able to go in and just sit and soak up the atmosphere in piece and quite was truly amazing. Also purchase some home made piccalilli and hot horse radish both of which tasted far better than the shop brought ones. Amazing place to go if you are into history and churches, (for us the best we have ever visited).

The oldest wooden built church in the world ... it popped up as we were driving past so thought we would take a look ... beautiful at this time of year with all the spring flowers.
The wooden beams can be clearly seen from the outside, and the white wooden steeple, such an unusual church and so worth the visit.
It also boasts a 12th century grave not every church can do that. Loved the entrance gateway as well, lots to explore
