Lovely atmospheric building. Some beautiful sculptures including a tombstone carving by Eric Gill. Worth walking around to see the gargoyles above you.

I was Confirmed in this Church in 1957 and since then I've mostly been abroad. I went to my Niece's Wedding here a couple of years ago. I'm not a specialist on Churches but St Mary's is certainly an historic place of worship without which Bridport would not be the same.

Very friendly Church offering coffee and cake ( on a Wednesday) without asking for payment ( did ofcourse make a donation).
