Beautiful building inside and out. Excellent acoustics too, great for a carol service!

Local non denomination Church in the centre of Exeter's main shopping street, open occasionally for visitors, a nice place to rediscover your peace whilst out shopping. Three levels including a mezzanine and an altar both accessed only by steps.

A central location close to the Cathedral in City Centre this historic church is one of the several in this area. It’s kept clean and open to public.

A small, old and dare I say rather cute church incongruously located on Exeter High Street set amongst modern day retail outlets. But don't let this put you off from coming in. It's my favourite Exeter church.
The church has been partly restored but any further generosity would be welcome.
You see it dates back to somewhere between 400ad to 1066ad (rather broadly termed the Saxon period) - but is only first mentioned in the Doomsday book. Although bits and pieces of this church have been added to or removed it's simply amazing that it is still standing here at all as the street was bombed in WW2 and it was constructed using a somewhat friable Heavitree stone that is a type of breccia stone (gravel and fine mineral cement), red in colour, and of very coarse texture and prone to serious weathering. At present the church is used for charities etc., and I'm unsure if any services are held here...but you can come in and pray or just sit in peace thinking of the beauty of this world and let the daily grind and noise of life fade away for a while.

1000 year old church in Central Exeter. Amazing depth of history. Caring congregation - and kind enough to let us run our book launch.
