We attended a Memorial Service here, and the Church Wardens couldn't have been more helpful and insightful. To them I give my thanks.
A beautiful little church, in the heart of London, a peaceful oasis in a bustling city.

What a dear and welcoming congregation! The liturgy is straight from the English BCP; so, a little different than many Church of England parishes that update the order of worship. This difference, combined with the confidence and warmth the priest brought to the service made it fresh. The music was exceptional--the organ is very historic, and well upkept. the parish is deeply historic and the building itself us a Christopher Wren, predating his work on the nearby St. Paul's.

Visited this church on the open house weekend in September, beautiful inside with an impressive organ, two ladies and the vicar were very friendly and informative about the church they are obviously proud of.

St. James Garlickhythe is a Church of England parish church in Vintry ward of the City of London, nicknamed "Wren’s lantern" owing to its profusion of windows.
Recorded since the 12th century, the church was destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666 and rebuilt by the office of Sir Christopher Wren. It is also the official church of eleven City livery companies.

What a wonderfully atmospheric church. I went for a Christmas evensong and it was beautiful. Unmistakeably a Wren church, the arches, carvings, chandelier and decorative pulpit are wonderful to see, particularly in the glow of the little red shaded lamps on wrought iron stands. A hidden gem down a narrow cobbled street, but right next to Southwark Bridge. Look for the ornate steeple to guide you.

Very nice little church in the heart of London. The organ, the windows, the pulpit all look amazing. It feels that a lot of craftsmanship went into making it. Highly reccomend to visit.
