Church of St George

Very pretty Church surrounded by some other splendid architecture - such as Tithe Barn and Dovecote. Plenty of benches to sit. Easy access though parking can be a challenge on peak days.

Also have a look and seat in the gardens behind the church.

Lovely c.12th century Church to St George and has a beautiful allusion to the Dragon in a right up (see photo).
There is a Rood Screen devising the church which dates from c.1499
Also two wooden chests each with five locks and a third which doubled as a scribes desk, all of some antiquity.

A very beautiful and architecturally rich church depicting the history that has shaped it. There are information display boards to read within the church. The gardens at the rear of the church are very restful and tranquil to walk or sit in.

This is a lovely church standing proudly of over Dunster. It is full of history with a wonderful rood screen, it is a very peaceful place with parking nearby and a short walk down the main road.

A well maintained church with fantastic surroundings in a lovely town. Well worth a visit. Best to visit off peak times to guarantee a car park if that is required.
