Still going strong since 1065, a year before the Norman Conquest, although temporarily closed due to Covid 19. St. Martins is cared for by the Churches Conservation Trust. Although the church is no longer used for regular worship, it remains consecrated, and when conditions permit, will re open to all.

St Martins's is one of the best preserved small medieval churches of Exeter. An exciting detail is the fact that St. Martin's is known to have been consecrated to Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Cross, Mary Mother of God, St Martin and All Saints of God on 6 July 1065. The church stands in the middle of considered as a historical part of the site, next to the Cathedral. Quiet and cosy, St Martin still keeps the atmosphere of the parish.
