If you are visiting Castell-y-Bere, you really HAVE to stop by and see this beautiful little church. There is a car park across the road from it with public toilets. The church itself is beautiful and there is a small display in the back room with a quilted three-dimensional model of the local landscape. It is really quite stunning.

We first discovered this magnificent church and valley in the late 20th century when staying at a b&b near what we affectionately termed "Merlin's Castle." We returned several times with our children in tow and would recommend visitors investigate the entire area, including "Bird Rock" and the inn at Tal-y-Llyn (hope we have that right!)

Beautiful old church in a beautiful setting. Combine this visit with a walk to the Mary Jones memorial and if you feel energetic and have the time, continue with the Mary Jones walk to Bala, some 21 miles away. You'll see some of the most outstanding scenery in Wales for your pains.

Awesome little church located near Cader Idris and Castell y Bere.
No regular services, but visitors are welcome to visit.
In the Vestry there is a model of Dyssini Valley, which was made by group of local people and exhibition and Quilt commemorating the life of Mary Jones, who walked barefoot to Bala to obtain a Welsh language bible.
The nearest cafe for refreshments can be found in the Abergynolwyn village or at the Talyllyn railway station.
There is public toilet just across the road from church.
No much parking though. We have parked just outside of the church.

Extremely secluded church, very old and beautiful. I used the car park opposite as parking for a bike ride up Cadir Idris, very limited but it's a quiet enough place that it isn't an issue.

Really cute little church with parking opposite. Good spot for walking Cadair Idris. Lepper window tells a sad story.

We love this church. Look at the small exhibits on show in the small chapel on the left inside the church
