Plain and lovely old church, at end of narrow road in a Gower valley.
Well worth a visit for the peaceful setting and simple interior.
We visited for a concert by local musical groups

If there ever comes a time in life where you want to find inner peace ,or feel close and guided by god whatever you perceive him to be.. This is the church where you would feel contentment, you would feel close to nature and all its beauty .You will walk away from here feeling a magical sort of enlightment. You walk through these doors and the simple white washed walls instantly calm you .
The kneeling stools beautifully embroidered the pews so polished and as you look around you will see and feel the warm love that is given to this church.
You look beyond the pews to the beautiful unfaded untarnished red carpet that gives this place that added extra something. Then you will see rows of candles to be lit and dainty chairs surrounding .
There is a visitors book laid open for comments and a donation box which should be fed no matter if pennies or pounds go in , this place must be given respect.
My mother grew up in parkmill and has the most treasured memories of the church and the community .She truly adored this place and so do we her family .Especially my brother who spent so much time here finding great comfort before he passed away. The care takers do their work with such pride.making sure the grass is cut and that everything is as it should be. I must add that to those who feel as though they have been to all and every grand place to be seen .
Then until you visit this idyllic church which is unscathed and not modern or tacky. You can only say you have seen and felt beauty when you come here.Even the residents in their beautiful houses seem to value and welcome visitors.

A local church yet very welcoming. The church is off the beaten track and set within Ilston. There is a lovely walk which runs from the back of the church all the way to Pennard - adjacent to the Gower Inn. The walk takes about 40 minutes but can get very wet after rain.

Wonderful example of a rural Gower church. Quiet, peaceful and stunning scenery also! Shame it wasn't open but in this day and age it is only to be expected. Well worth a visit if you're passing!
