Shocked at the attitude of the 'Priest' when called on the day before Christmas eve. I don't agree that he was 'blunt', as he named himself when asked if he could help a sick, lonely, now elderly but long-standing and faithful parishioner attend his meeting, by maybe arranging a lift share with someone in church. I would see him more as 'cold', without empathy, loyalty or sympathy. Disappointed, but not surprised. Hope he has a great Christmas.
