Had a lovely browse here. A wide variety of interesting maps and, charts, prints etc. The chap who served us was very helpful and pleasant, but gave us space to have a proper look ourselves. We will certainly be returning to buy more things next time we're in Oxford.

What a lovely gem of a place! Got a lovely print of one of my favourite books. All staff were lovely but one stood out and was very helpful when I asked about a specific map.

Beautiful old shop with friendly staff.
Lovely to look through the prints but be warned their stuff is expensive!

Not cheap, but very reliable. If you buy a print online, with shipping costs on top of the price, it will be more expensive than buying at auction, but with the guarantee of a long-established and reputable dealer. If you are in Oxford and are able to visit the premises (a dainty little shop on the High Street), you will save shipping costs: the helpful and welcoming staff will pack your purchase securely for you to carry back. You will not find the bargain you may find at an auction, if you are lucky, but there is no risk of getting ripped off.

Interesting antique pictures and maps, and very friendly, helpful staff.

Very helpful staff and a good selection of prints. Although a lot of the prints are expensive, there are plenty of more affordable options, such as this early 19th century one I obtained for £10. Thoroughly recommended.

A young shop attendant there was discriminatory against me on Saturday, angrily yelling at me asking me to leave the store because I was not wearing a mask, despite me advising him I have a disability which means that I am not able to wear a mask and are exempt - this young power tripper was very angry and out of order, and asked me if I have an ID car outlining why I am exempt - we don't live in a communist country so I don't actually need to do this. Very poor behaviour. Missed out on a significant sale because I was interested in a map worth £500. This young man should be reminded that the customer is always right and pays his wages at the end of the day. Would not recommend going to store.

Edit: response to the owners comments below - that is a total lie, I was nothing of the sort, the woke young man was rude and aggressive towards me as evidenced above. How shameful that the shop owner would fabricate this in defence rather than educate and council this young man to behave better towards their customers. I bet the young man is now upon reflection ashamed of his behaviour and this shop keeper should be as well.

The most amazing shop in Oxford. Dan was so friendly and he really knows his stuff - especially when talking about William Hogarth!
