English Oak Tree Services Ltd

We've now had English Oak a second time to manage our trees. The first visit was to sustainably manage 4 oak trees and 4 lime trees (2 with TPOs). We were so pleased with their work, that our neighbours have had them do work for them, and they're now in our garden for a second time managing even more trees.

Paul and his team have done stump grinding, dead wood management, tree removal, tree reduction - all looking trees left looking beautiful and well shaped. All waste removed and Paul and his team are a joy to have on site.

Really "wood" recommend!

I had English Oak to cut back my neighbour’s overhanging tree and I am amazed at the finished job they were so careful and extremely professional in their working. When finished they completely cleared the site it was as if they hadn’t been there. The price of the job was very responsible I would certainly recommend them.

Great work by English Oak Tree Services. Professional service from the guys. They topped, lifted and thinned out a very large tree that prevented light getting through to the garden, and advised on how best to maintain the shape. Very reasonable price and they thoroughly cleaned up the garden afterwards.

I'd just like to say what a fantastic job these guys did. They arrived bang on time, almost like they was waiting for 8 am to strike before knocking. This is very much appreciated as I hate lateness and had to get the kids off to school.

The lads were polite and courteous at all times and unloaded the kit by themselves leaving to get the kids off to school and when I arrive back 15 mins later, the climber was already at the top of the tree. Highly impressive work ethic there!

The tree in question is a huge lime tree that has been worrying my family for years because if it falls, it is going to land in our garden and I worry about the kids. As you can see from the picture the tree is 80 ft plus and moves so much in the wind but the English Oak boys were up there in a flash.

We had the tree reduced by 25% and a light thin too. This will allow some light through and we are over the moon with the result of the tree work but just as impressed with the clean up of the garden as in all fairness, it was left far tidier than when they arrived.

The price was very competitive, slightly more than a couple of the quotes we received, but far cheaper than a few also. We just had a good feeling about English Oak after Paul arrived and spoke with us and our gut was right.

The boys then also remove 3 self-set Sycamores from the back of the garden which were around 35-40ft in height. I explained how much that space needed something there to replace the now missing trees but I also wanted something that won't get too big whilst simultaneously adding colour to the garden and before I could finish my sentence Paul suggested the Cercis siliquastrum, more commonly referred as the Judas tree. I have taken a photo of the blossom and just look at that. These lads really do know their stuff.

5 stars lads, will definitely use again for any other works and can't recommend enough.

Fantastic job done by the guys from English Oak. Arrived on time, got the job finished quickly and professionally, and left the garden very tidy indeed. The back of the garden overhangs a very busy footpath, and if anything was going to be cut over this footpath, the guys stopped anyone from walking past, helping several old ladies across the road to avoid them being under the tree whilst this was taking place. Very sweet actually. 5 Stars guys. Great job. Will use again.

I would highly recommend English Oak. They were booked to remove two large trees, one including the stump. They arrived promptly at 8am, got straight on with the job and worked really hard all day. Access to our garden is difficult with multiple steps and they couldn’t get big equipment in, which meant it was hard work, but they worked tirelessly and got it all done in a day. They were friendly guys and cleaned up very thoroughly afterwards. Great job!

Paul and the crew took down 4 trees for us. They did a fantastic job and are a lovely bunch of lads. Very professional and knowledgeable. They were careful as the trees where right on the fence line of our new fencing, they ensured safety at all times and cleared the garden once they were finished. They left the large logs for us to use on our fire. They were reasonably priced and we would definitely use them again. Highly recommended.

English Oak were a pleasure to deal with from the very first interaction. They provided a quick quote, and were prompt in their follow up. When it came to do the work, the team were exemplary in their service and approach. They worked very hard and fast, and yet were extremely professional and friendly at all times. Our lack of side access meant they had to take a very large tree through our house piece by piece, and I was astonished by the lack of mess they made. The team made sure our house and garden was left spotless, and I could not be more satisfied with the result.
