Gaucho Piccadilly

Being a weekend, the other top steak restaurants were fully booked, so I chose this place as a safe bet. This is my first visit in 6 years. Steaks and desserts are as good as before but the chairs are dirty and the atmosphere is like a family restaurant. The quality of service from the waiters is also out of question.

I had a good experience at Gaucho. It’s a great nearby steakhouse if you’re staying in the Piccadilly area. The steak and bread appetizer tasted great. However I wasn’t the biggest fan of their mashed potatoes. The waiter explained each steak they offer and was very welcoming. The steaks are a bit pricey as it came to around £70 for one person. Overall it was a great experience and the restaurant was nicely decorated.

You really can’t go wrong with Gaucho! Their Piccadilly restaurant is centrally located but also away from the hustle and bustle. Friendly staff give a warm welcome and the food is always superb. Being shown the selection of steaks and walked through the cuts really helps when choosing. A great place for a celebratory or fancy meal out.

Very nice decoration and such a cozy environment. The food was amazing BUT, the service wasn’t very good. Waiters were making weird faces when asked questions, very slow service taking forever to serve you. The food took more than usual time to come out. It is a shame though cause their food was amazing and you would expect an excellent service based on their menu prices.

Great steakhouse in central London. The restaurant is lovely inside, people are super welcoming, and they have excellent knowledge about the kind of meat on the menu.
The food is delicious, and the wine selection is massive.

I def recommend it 👌

Service was very slow on a Wednesday night. The steak's don't come with anything, no side of chips or salad, so make sure you order your sides!
Portions were decent sizes.
I had my steak medium rare. It wasn't very flavorful but it cut well and had a nice texture

Visited Gaucho for the first time today using a Buyagift voucher, in my past experience when using vouchers like this the menu is usually sub standard and the entire experience is spent having items upsold to you; At Gaucho this was not the case!
The selection of foods available from the menu was fantastic and the drink selection was great and didn't need any hard sell at all.

The warm welcome at the entrance, the ambience of the restaurant and service style were all very warm without being overbearing.

Furthermore the food was great and I will definitely be returning!

We had a Christmas party at this venue in December.

The food really was sensational; they are masters of well cooked steak.

Sadly the service let them down somewhat. For for price you’re paying, you expect more.

The maitre d’ in the lobby practically barked at us. You honestly felt that you were in the way and an inconvenience to the restaurant.

We were served in a private room as there were 16 of us dining. Unfortunately they had only allocated us one server, who gallantly tried her hardest (and was charming!) but really another server would have made the evening go a little more smoothly.

That said, the food was amazing and I look forward to returning with my partner.
